The Allergen Bureau is pleased to be delivering a series of three, one hour, live webinars on the topic of food allergy and allergen management in March, April and May 2018. This is a free event hosted by the Department of Industry, Innovation and Science Entrepreneurs’ Programme, delivered by The Allergen Bureau. Webinar attendees will be able to watch and interact with the webinar presenters via the AusIndustry webinar portal.
The webinars will cover the fundamentals of food allergy and food allergens, industry best practice for allergen management, allergen labelling and food recalls. Experts have been invited to participate and will share their knowledge and experience on specialist topics such as laboratory allergen analysis and the application of allergen management at their manufacturing site. These webinars will create a valuable resource to assist in understanding food allergens, why they should be considered and how to ensure that they are identified, managed, controlled and labelled on food products.
The webinars will be appropriate for food manufacturers, marketers and importers. Seminar attendees will learn the basics of what food allergens are, why their consideration is integral to food safety and quality assurance and how to address allergen management in a food business.
