US software development company EveryBite is working to improve the dining experience for people with food allergies. It allows diners to personalise their menu based on specific ingredients, filtering out dishes containing any of the key allergens.
Everybite’s SmartMenu platform is currently implemented by 50 restaurant brands across more than 4,000 locations in the US, with aims to expand to 250 restaurant brands by the end of the year.
Working with Food Allergy Research & Education (FARE), EveryBite aims to improve communication between diners and restaurants, for the benefit of both parties. As SmartMenu continues to evolve, it promises to bring additional feature enhancements, such as online ordering and AI dish recommendations.
The preferences and purchasing behaviours of diners is captured and analysed, providing detailed data that can be used to improve the way the food service industry caters to individual tastes and dietary requirements.
