An updated version of The Food Industry Guide to the Voluntary Incidental Trace Allergen Labelling (VITAL®) Program Version 3.0 is now available at the Allergen Bureau website. This October 2020 version of the VITAL Guide replaces the October 2019 version.
The changes to this document are minor and primarily editorial. There are no changes to the intent of the VITAL procedure.
The Food Industry Guide to the VITAL Program is the primary reference for the VITAL Program and other resources, such as VITAL Online, should always be used with reference to this guidance document.
