Creating value for members – Arytza site visit

Thank you to member company Arytza for asking the Allergen Bureau to present at its annual supplier day.

ARYZTA is an international bakery company with a leadership position in convenience bakery, offering a comprehensive range of bread & rolls, morning bakery and savoury bakery products across in-store bakery solutions worldwide. Their multi-local approach means short supply chains and close relationships with customers and consumers — making consistent, well-embedded allergen risk practices right across that network especially important.

As part of the session, Lisa presented how the VITAL Program applies to the supply chain, complimenting Arytza’s own “see it, fix it, report it, prevent it” approach, the discussion centred on the rigor of the VITAL Reference Doses, The VITAL steps to success (Risk Review, Allergen Management, Risk Assess and Communicate) and tips and tricks to ensuring accurate allergen information is passed to customers in the supply chain.

Sessions like this are a great reminder of what member value looks like in action — the Allergen Bureau exists to tackle industry challenges that are bigger than any one company alone, giving members a safe, pre-competitive space to work on strengthening practices and share information based on lived experience and learnings. It’s this kind of direct engagement, that helps businesses manage allergen risk with confidence and demonstrates their commitment to staff, suppliers, customers and regulators alike.

Thanks to the Arytza team for having us along.
